We, the vestry, want to thank all of you who pledged to support the 2007 church budget. Many of you increased your pledge, and we appreciate that. Unfortunately, we still have a deficit, which we will address at the Annual meeting in March. WE are very concerned about deficit spending, and are doing all possible to reverse that trend. In the meantime, please keep your pledge current and give of your time and talents as well.

News from the Fund Raising Team
2007 Redeemer Calendars - They are here! If you have not gotten your copy, please pick it up in the rear of the church. I fyou are unable to get to churhc, please call the office to have it mailed to you.
The calendar looks great. There are some extras, and we encourage you to take one to work, give it to a friend, or give it to a business you patronize and begin talking about 2008 ads.
Grocery Cash-Back Programs - It is difficult to believe that some still do not participate in any of these programs. Everyone has to buy groceries. These programs cost you nothing and are found money for the church. It's a great way to feed your family and your church. Please get involved.
Thank you to those who participate already. Please continue to support the church in this way.
- Genuardi's - Please contact Pat Haussmann at 610-543-3717 for additional information or to sign up for the Genuardi's cash back program.
- Acme - Leave your receipts in the container in the back of the church or chapel, or put them in the "Acme" box outside the office. Through the collection of Acme receipt tapes Redeemer received more than $700.00 this past year. Thank you Acme shoppers and Joan Sandberg for coordinating the program. Keep up the good work.
- Gift Cards - Please remember Rick Doyle is selling Acme and Pathmark gift cards and coupons. A percentage of each card sold goes to the church. So why not buy them with a gift card, which costs you nothing but gives your church a gift.
Planned Giving Team
Redeemer members have responeded wonderfully to the information provided in the last year by the Planned Giving Committee. We are now aware of fifteen persons who have included Redeemer in their will or their giving plans, or are in the process of doing so.
This spring, the committee will provide additional information for the parish through bulletin inserts and articles in the Reporter. A provision from your estate may be made as a dollar amount or a proportion of your estate. Appreciated securities given to the church may produce a sigificant tax break. An insurance policy whose beneficiary is no longer living or is not in need can be reassigned to the parish. An annuity may provide a good income for life. Leaving your house to the church, under certain circumstances, could eliminate some heavy state taxes on your estate. Whatever your decision, it would be wise to make an appointment with your attorney, especially in light of constantly changing tax laws.
The receipt of funds left to Redeemer from two members who died recently are still pending, and will be added to the fund in 2007.
The committee urges parishoners who have not yet completed thier plans to make their intentions known to any member of the committee. We may be able to answer some questions or refer you to a professional.
